Introduction

I purchased a used 2010 Malibu in Nov 2011. Overall, I am satisfied, no issues to date. I would buy it again. People should reconsider American cars again. Much better than previous decades.

Why the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu?

Fuel economy

My fuel economy has been better than the EPA ratings. Having said that I don't drive the car hard.

Exterior styling

I am a fan of the clean lines of the malibu. Though the split shield grill is the weakest part of the design

Audio & nav systems

I love love love the iPhone connection to the car. Makes traveling much nicer. Stereo sounds strong and clear.

Price or payments

I bought my malibu used with 9000 miles. I got a very good price so I am happy with my decision.

Quietness

The quietness is low and helps make longer trips more relaxing.

Why Not the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu?

Interior styling

I am not a fan of the aqua blue tones on the dash, nor of the fake wood in the car.

Safety & braking

The braking is class typical, grabby brakes. My 98 contour had much more linear brakes.

Brand reputation & image

Chevy does not have a strong identity in the market due to many duds over the years. Hopefully that will change.

Conclusion

Price, comfort, and clean style. Strong V6.
