4dr Sedan 145-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD

Why the 2004 Ford Focus?

Handling

A very tight, nimble and precise handling car with the lower profile tires. The car handles curves at a fairly high rate of speed with the 50 series tires.

Driving position & visibility

Seat position is higher than most similar cars which aides my visibility as I scan my head and eyes from right to left when driving.

Powertrain performance

The 2.3l engine plus 5 speed has surprising pickup particularly in the 2800-4000 rpm range. Combined with the handling this car enables me to move as fast as I need to with ease.

Fuel economy

While not as high as my 1986 Mazda 626 at 34mpg the Mazda was not as quick. So I am quite satisfied with the 32-33mpg I currently get.

Front seat support & comfort

I like seat backs that are firm and have the bolstered sides fairly wide apart for my back comfort. I never get physically tired in this seat.
