General NotesHow do we select "competing car models"? Users of TrueDelta's car price comparison tool most often compare these cars to the Ford.

Models and statistics marked with an asterisk (*) have very low sample sizes. These results, visible only to logged-in members, provide only a rough estimate of car reliability.

Any result under 5 repair trips per 100 cars is likely a result of the small sample size, and should be expected to increase in future updates.

New models often start out with high repair rates, and then improve as the manufacturer identifies and addresses common problems. MethodologyOnly successfully completed repairs are currently included in the analysis. Routine maintenance, most wear items, recalls, and problems fixed with just a reflash or warning light reset are not included.

1-speed automatic AWD		 Love the car overall. An electric car was on my "bucket list" to try since I've had many ICE vehicles and 3 PHEV vehicles. The 2021 Mustang Mach E is a totally electric automobile. It is quiet and does not ever requie going to another gas station. The workmanship overall on the car is good.The car is our daily drive and for around town and on short trips you can't beat it. Things I don't like: The range of the car is only 210 miles on a 100% charge and less when it is cold out. The car has already had two recalls; one for the windshield and one for the panoramic roof. There are software problems with the car as the OTA updates do not work. Overall if I had it to do over again I would have ordered the car with the extended range battery and I would have waited for the 2022 model as it would have the "bugs" worked out. Having said that I am not sorry that I bought the car as I knew it was a first year model when I ordered it. see full Ford review

Ford has never taken money from the Government like the other two USA car makers. I am a 40 year plus GM buyer but not in 2011. I own a Ford now and it will either be the last car I ever own or I may just buy another Ford when I wear this one out. Right now I have 20,000 miles on it and the only maintenance has been oil/filter change and new wiper blades. I saved the original blades for spares since they were in fine condition and just wanted to be extra prepared for our trip. Again.....Best Car Ever..... No I do not work for Ford. 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD		 I just wanted to give an update on this car now that I have driven it in snow. And lots of it here lately. One of my criteria when looking for a car was that it have All Wheel Drive, and the SHO fits the bill. It came with Goodyear Eagle something or others on it, and I was not expecting much from the tires come winter. Thus the reason for this update. I am extremely pleased with this car and the way it handles winter. The AWD system is top notch and I have had zero issues. Even the Goodyear tires have performed well, much better than I expected. (If you want to know which tires I have, drop a line.. I forgot to look before posting this review) The car is very solid, and it is very stable on the road. It does not get skittish when driving on snow covered roads, icy or windy conditions. It is a full size car, comfortable, quiet and a pleasure to drive and look at. All in all I am happy with my Taurus and at this point would certainly buy another. see full Ford review

10-speed shiftable automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range		 While only having only 4000 miles on my FX4, I also have a Ecoboost F150 Platinum with 10,000 miles on it and no problems to report so far. 2010 4dr Sedan The 2nd generation of the North American Ford Focus does surprisingly well in reliabilty rankings. Look at TrueDelta stats and else where. According to the shop I frequent the only weak point is braking rear springs in areas where road salt is used. In addition I found that the motor mounts are prone to failure. see full Ford review

10-speed shiftable automatic 4WD w/low range		 The bi-xenon headlights developed a problem at around 30,000 miles. The high beams either wouldn't work or would stay in the high position. It seems to have worked itself out - but I don't have a lot of confidence in them. It's also worth mentioning that while the xenons are great, the difference between the high and low beams isn't very significant. see full Ford review

8-speed automatic FWD		 Over the last 2 years I've put over $2,000 in this thing. One major repair was some real BS - an IDLER puller BRACKET should not BREAK OFF the timing cover, yet here I was, stranded and with no help from Ford AT ALL, and $1200 later I was back on the road. Now it's got some BS fuel filler that needs to be repalced due to the "capless" filler neck. I'm selling or trading this heap ASAP. see full Ford review
