Why the 2010 GMC Acadia?

Interior styling

one of only a few vehicles that seat 8. Very comfortable, lots of adult leg room and well thought out. rear seats both fold flat for cargo.

Handling

handles well both in town and on the highway. Solid feeling vehicle, but has good pickup and a tight turning radius.

Feature availability

good feature range at the base level. upper trim levels, while lots of features, have a price tag attached. From an economic perspective, bang for your buck is either base or full out trim package. mid-range not worth the extra cash.

Cargo capacity

cargo capacity like a full size van. fold flat rear seats very handy. good amount of room even with all seats in use. 60/40 matching split on both rear seats helpful.

Exterior styling

sharp looking truck - good paint colour selection.

Why Not the 2010 GMC Acadia?

Dealer practices

Had terrible dealership experiences with several GM dealers. Most would not seriously discuss bottom line price/payments. Finally found a dealership that not only explained options, but gave detailed, printed information!

Price or payments

pricey vehicle, but certainly within the range of its competition.

Brand reputation & image

past year models had transmission, A/C and gas tank issues. Seem to have been taken care of for 2010.

Past personal experience

not Acadia experience, but past GM experience.
