It had a reliability and repair record far above most of the other cars I looked at. This was good for my second choice too (Camry), but the Accord package ended up being better.
In comparison to the Camry, I liked the tighter suspension on the Accord. I felt like I was more in contact with the road.
For a non-hybrid, and a mid-sized sedan, the fuel economy is very good.
I have teen and pre-teen boys, and roominess is pretty important.
I was able to take advantage of a pretty generous incentive because the new models were out.
