2011 Honda Civic Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by jhamilt5

Powertrain performance
The 1.8 performed well for every day use, reliable. Not quirky.
Fuel economy
Averaged between 28 and 32 mpg. Ran better with higher octane, for real.
Materials & workmanship
The aluminum wheels completely corroded within 3 years to the point of ugliness. Was told wheel condition was not covered by factory warranty in year 2, as the northeast ohio/ western pa winter road treatments are a corrosive nightmare.
Reliability & durability
The only problem we ever had with this car was a bad front wheel hub and front pads at 42,000 miles. Everything else on this car was sturdy and worked well.
Tires
Had Bridgestone Turanza tires from factory, replaced at 37,000 miles. Bought Cooper All seasons, they were not good. Replaced with Goodyear Assurance, way better.
Materials & workmanship
The interior was very much plastic, hard plastic at that. I guess it takes more punishment but I was always bothered by how it felt, cheap.
Exterior styling
The wiper blades were funky because of the windshield, one is like 26" and one is 18", they just didn't last long at all.
Rear seat room & comfort
Rear seat was a bit tight for adults, in hindsight we should have bought the Accord.
