Insurance cost

An S2000 would have been extremely expensive for me to insure. Much more than any other car I got a quote on.

Rear seat room & comfort

No rear seat, and no way to turn off the front passenger airbag without an aftermarket switch. So not good for kids.

Handling

Very agile, but the rear end can step out unexpectedly if you accelerate just a bit too hard out of turns. No stability control until 2007.
