Though the battery was weak and replaced a few days ago, the car did not start. In fact, it was fully powered, just would not react to the key being turned. I was able to get it started after about 15 tries. The dealer found nothing wrong!

Car was in for normal maintenance, but I had requested that the rough idle be examined. The ended up replacing the head gasket. This improved mpg but did not solve the rough idle. Car had a rough idle. A week after the prior visit (oil change, with them also replacing the head gasket), I took it back in but they could not reproduce the problem.
Vehicle had trouble turning over, and once started the tachometer did not move. When driving the vehicle would not shift out of first in D. Switching to manual, I was able to shift when needed. Additionally, the cruise control did not work, nor did the information center items: MPG, AVG MPH, and trip time.
When I went back and got the vehicle, the problem was gone. The next morning though, the issue came back. The shop said that they updated the ECM and that solved the problem. It did not. The repair was unsuccessful.

Check engine light illuminated and threw code P2096. Dealer found open service bulletin regarding this code and adjusted computer sensitivity. CEL reset.

Having problems starting the car, but only when left sitting for about 2 hrs. Never had a problem with a cold start or a hot start the dealer was stumped but ultimatly replaced the fuel pump hoping that would solve the problem.
Heat shield was loose and therefore making a loud rattle. Mechanic clamped it down.
The fuel consumption is TERRIBLE.. less than 20.2 in mixed motoring. I got an Altima whilst the Elantra was in for a bodywork repair and achieved 27.8 doing the same route in the same conditions! The claimed mileage figures are a farce.. too many fellow o
