Reviewed: 2008 Infiniti QX

4dr SUV 320-horsepower 5.6L V8 5-speed automatic 4WD w/low range

Why the 2008 Infiniti QX?

Interior styling

Newly updated for 2008. Much classier and well designed. Everything is where it should be. It just "feels/looks" like a luxury vehicle on the inside

Powertrain performance

Very smooth..it feels like it has more than the rated HP/TQ. Quiet in all situations, unless you get on it and pound it- unlike several other SUVs (Denali, Escalade)

Feature availability

LOADED...nothing in the segment came close to all o the toys/features for the $- HDD Nav, Keyless Go, HID lights, radar-based cruise, etc.

Materials & workmanship

Just well put together- 15K miles and 15 months after purchase and not one noise, creak, groan, etc.

Cargo capacity

Tows over 9K lbs and the fold flat power 3rd row is great. There is not a bad seat in the whole truck- even the 3rd row.

Why Not the 2008 Infiniti QX?

Exterior styling

I think that it has a face that only a mother could love, but my wife really likes it. She even thought that it looked better than the Escalade and Mercedes GL450.

Fuel economy

It is what it is....we get 15 MPG on average (4wd). I can get 17 on the highway.
