Reviewed: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

4dr SUV 230-horsepower 4.7L V8 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD w/low range

Why the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Exterior styling

I like the European and classic design. Plus it fits 32" tires perfectly.

Powertrain performance

The Quadra Trac II full time 4 wheel drive system is incredible. The 4.7L V8 motor is lots of fun, has plenty of power, and gets very decent gas mileage.

Cargo capacity

The back seats have ample amount of room, and the cargo area is huge. With the V8, it towes VERY well. The brakes are really the only weak link in towing heavy loads.

Price or payments

Because of horribale depreciation, I got a 2005 Jeep with low miles very cheap.

Why Not the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Reliability & durability

The Grand Cherokee has had very bad electical problems. It seems that you can either get a really good one, or a really bad one.

Interior styling

It seems kind of cheap for such an expensive vehicle. Lots of plastic and cloth seats that stain with plain old water.

Materials & workmanship

Interior plastics and cloth seats that stain with plain old water.
