Why the 2009 Kia Rondo?

Feature availability

Premium package adds sunroof, navigation, and upgraded stereo - well worth the money. EX trim adds heated seats and an attractive leather interior in gray, black, or beige. For its price, hard to find all of these features.

Cargo capacity

Cargo capacity of 32 cubic feet behind 2nd row, and over 70 feet with 2nd row folded down. All in a car shorter than my old 1997 Honda Accord.

Driving position & visibility

Large windows everywhere make for amazing visibility. Many crossover vehicles these days have high beltlines and low visibility - not this one. Also makes for a cheerier ride by letting in so much sunlight.

Ride smoothness

The V6 shifts smoothly and seems to handle bumps without much reaction. Ride is quiet except for a bit noisy on bumps.

Safety & braking

Stability control, side curtain airbags, active headrests in front. 4-wheel ABS disc brakes. Could not ask for more safety features in a reasonably priced vehicle.

Why Not the 2009 Kia Rondo?

Fuel economy

Kia claims 18 city, 26 highway for the V6 and slightly higher for the V4. Not particularly impressive numbers.
