It is a comfortable seat position to provide good all around visibility.
Plenty of cargo capacity.
The best in the business, though I did not need it (it is out of warranty now).

Why Not the 2005 Kia Sorento?
Not great but we knew that going in. I try to drive as economically as possible and can usually squeeze 18-19 mpg in mixed driving (70%/30% split between highway and local).
It is a bumpy ride at times from a stiff chassis. Not uncomfortable but certainly not cushy.
The selling dealer was awful. The were hard to reach and messed up our paperwork on more than one occasion.
