Why the 2003 Mazda Miata MX-5?

Handling

Best handling of all the roadster-style sports cars I test drove.

Exterior styling

It was a wonderful design when released in 1989 and still is. Subtle changes have updated the car without ruining the overall look.

Past personal experience

Great handling, smooth shifting and all around fun to drive...ZOOM ZOOM!

Reliability & durability

Have had two (1996 and 2003) and have never had either one in the shop.

Audio & nav systems

No nav system but a great Boise stereo that sounds great even at 75 mph with the top down.

Why Not the 2003 Mazda Miata MX-5?

Rear seat room & comfort

No rear seat.

Fuel economy

For a small (size of a subcompact) 4-cylinder stick shift, it only gets around 28 mpg highway...my 6-cylinder Honda Accord got 30+.

Quietness

It is a pretty noisy car, with or without the top down.

Color choices

Nothing too exciting...pretty standard Red, White, Blue, Black and usually some limited edition color like pumpkin or cranberry...
