Why the 2004 Mazda RX-8?

Safety & braking

The pedal feel is very predictable linear and controllable. It is not over boosted. The few times that I have had occassion to use the ABS, it is the best fastest stopping I have ever experienced. Much better than other cars. It has five star crash tests.

Exterior styling

It is absolutely unique, a statement, and in my opinion very handsome. After five years of ownership, it still turns heads and gets accused of being a $100K+ car.

Quietness

When I bought a small Japanese sports car, I was expecting great handling and decent build quality. I was shocked to find the most relaxing highway car that I have ever owned. It is a pleasure to drive all day on the highway.

Why Not the 2004 Mazda RX-8?

Fuel economy

I gets 20MPG no matter what I do. Running around 20. 1/2 highway 20. All the highway all day 25-26. I think that it could do better.
