The transmission and engine (for 2003 at least) seem pretty solid and reliable from personal experience and from reports gathered from other people. Have done an oil analysis, returned excellent results at 60K miles.
Comfortable and smooth on the highway, not so on city streets. Much smoother than a Honda Civic.
