4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual FWD

Why the 2002 Nissan Maxima?

Powertrain performance

It is very powerful and has awesome low end torque. Really gets up and goes! Passing power on the highway (especially with the 6-speed manual) is a joyful and exciting experience. Gears are well thought out and takes full advantage of every horsepower.

Exterior styling

The exterior styling is very elegant. The design looks grown up and mature but at the same time has an agressive sporty look to it. The HID headlights are one of its best features.

Interior styling

The cockpit is simple but elegant and luxurious. You have most of your basic luxury features without the cockpit looking too fancy and cluttered. The design is low key and good material quality is evident. Overall it is a functional yet elegant design.

Ride smoothness

This car is extremely stable and comfortable at high speeds. It can cruise 100+ mph all day long without breaking a sweat and without too much input from the driver. Stays as straight and smooth as an arrow.

Why Not the 2002 Nissan Maxima?

Cargo capacity

The trunk is somewhat on the smallish side, but isnt too bad i suppose compared to others. The opening of the trunk deffinetly could be wider.

Rear seat room & comfort

The back seat for anyone who is tall is uncomfortable. It is very common for adults to be brushing their heads against the roof. Rear legroom is not very good either. This car has the driver and front passenger in mind.

Fuel economy

This car loves to suck gas especially when pushed. And not just any gas, the high compression VQ35DE engine requires premium. In my experiences anything less than 91 octane will yield poor performance and odd engine noises. I average 17-18 mpg at best.
