Why the 2007 Saab 9-5?

Front seat support & comfort

Extremely comfortable and supportive. air-cooled seat option is great in the summer. Front seat ergonomics and comfort blow away those of bmw, infiniti and acura, although leather quality is not as good.

Fuel economy

It gets 29mpg highway if you keep it at 70mph. Just completed 700 mile weekend trip with extended 85-90mph speeds, averaging 26.5mpg. Avg 22/23 in the city. Can run regular with only slight performance degrade. What other 260hp car gets this mileage?

Safety & braking

9-5 has always had top safety ratings, and it has been around so long that engineers have refined these to the max.

Why Not the 2007 Saab 9-5?

Insurance cost

These cars depreciate worst than any car in it class. This is great for those like me who buy 3 or 4 year old low mileage cars and keep them for 10 years, but I would not be happy if I bought this car new. Insurance rates are very low for this car.
