This is our 7th Subaru and 2nd Outback. All have proved durable, reliable and safe. AWD is a real plus even though we deal with rain not snow. Why seven? I have four kids. All drive Subies. Our driveway hosts, Outback, Baja, WRX, and Legacy.
Our 2010 Outback is averaging 25+ mpg in town and 30+ on the road. The CVT is different to drive but adequate for everything except the drag strip. I am very pleased with the power from the improved 2.5 boxer.
My wife and four kids drive Subarus. All are expected to be driven well over 100,000 miles. None have disappointed us. The AWD system is bulletproof. Standard maintenance procedures will assure long life.
