Why the 2010 Subaru Outback?

Brand reputation & image

After reading the excellent reviews on Conumer Reports, and talking to Subaru owners I beagn to like the product. After seeing the bank for my buck value and then driving one I was sold!

Fuel economy

I like that my 2.5l CVT can be run with regular gas or higher octane premium fules. This gives me a wide range of choices when fuleing. Being my commute to work is 35 miles I love the highway mpg I can attain while still having all wheel drive.

Reliability & durability

Everything about this car seems to be about for and function. Based on reports and friends own experiences I have been told to expect excellent reliability and durability. Most importantly are the number of satisfied owners I have questioned at random.

Powertrain performance

The CVT tranny is excellent. I love how smooth it is not having true "shift points". For a 4 cylinder I am very impressed with the ammount of power it produces for being in such a large vehicle. The option of going to manual from automatic is great.

Safety & braking

Braking is fast and very responsive. There is not pulsing in the brake pedal at all and no pull in the wheel when braking. Safety is excellent. I am conforted to have so many safety features and airbags packed into the vehicle.
