Radio rebooting then dead

Ask the People Who Own One:

2017 - 2024 Toyota Highlander
jriker1

My 2017 Highlander Radio/NAV/Reverse Camera display, started blipping or flashing on and off, rebooted 5 times with speaker pop, in 2min, and now is DEAD. Anyone else?
No radio, no display, which means no reverse camera of course.

Sounds like a problem for the dealer. I hope it is still under warranty. This is the first time I've heard of a problem with Entune. The screen in my 2016 Prius has randomly rebooted twice, but after a software update I haven't had any problems for a year and a half.

I have a 2014 Highlander Limited and I have many random radio reboots but it always comes back. Out of warranty but its only annoying and not stop the truck important.

Absolutely agree and if you are/aren't under warranty, get an extended warranty. Everything is tied to the display (hearing, cooling, Audio, etc). If it needs to be replaced it's$10,000. If they tell you nothing is wrong, take it to another dealer. Keep taking it back until someone fixes it. If nothing else, you have a "paper trail," and you can establish the problem as unfixable. Most Lemon Laws give the company a set number of times to repair it, then they have to give you a replacement vehicle.

whether or not it's fixed, it's worth the effort and you'll win.
