2005 Toyota Sienna Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by whepler

Powertrain performance
Car experienced various wear and tear repairs over the years; it was reliable, but with ongoing maintenance, not the glowing results usually expected from Toyota.
Fuel economy
Typical unimpressive gasoline van: 21-2 mpg
Interior styling
Pretty good. It was the only van of its time to seat 3 adults in the 2nd row. Fabric upholstery was typical in color and feel. Seating was pretty comfortable and ergonomics were pretty intuitive.
Quietness
Car was not particularly quiet, and with a quiet sedan now, this van sounds loud.
Interior storage compartments
This vehicle always handled a lot of storage well, though seat removal was always a first class pain in the second row; third row submerged into the floor.
Cargo capacity
Good, once you got the difficult 2nd-row seats out.
Reliability & durability
So-so. In the last few years, we've had lights on the dash that wouldn't go out most of the time despite expert repair. We suspect a serpentine belt problem, but even after replacement, the lights stayed on while the car operated fine.
Audio & nav systems
Audio was fairly good--not supreme--but durability wasn't. Radio/CD player lost touch pad control in last 3-4 years, so we used saved stations and "seek" to change our selection.
Conclusion: This is a disappointing if long-serving car that worked reliability when you ignored persistent repair needs that didn't prevent ongoing use.
