Headlight would only work intermittently due to poor electrical contact at bulb. Needed new bulb socket, but dealer would not honor warranty because an "aftermarket" bulb had been used. (Bulb was same wattage as OEM)

Air conditioner failure. Replaced.

C $100
Sliding door soft-close motor bangs/jumps when temperatures go below freezing, occasionally causing sliding door to latch improperly. The Mazda dealer could not identify a cause. The only "solution" offered was an expensive door motor replacement with no guarantee it would fix the problem and they suggested I try a body shop instead. Since the problem goes away above freezing and spring has come it is no longer possible to reproduce the problem for anyone else. I will have to wait until the return of below freezing temperatures in the fall when the problem will return, as it did last year.
98580 mi

C $100
Brake light switch failed (no brake lights when brakes applied). Replaced.
61920 mi

C $118
Replaced original battery as the original would no longer hold a full charge.Vehicle was left for 8 days and battery went dead ( < 7.3 V)
