Was told the engine had to be replaced and the dealership said they replaced it but later found out it had not been. The only thing that had been worked on was the fuel injectors. Replace fuel feed pipe from under vehicle into engine compartment. Replace and register vehicle battery.

Drive train malfunction No work was done on the vehicle
71000 mi Replaced top and bottom oil filter gaskets and thrust bearings. Gaskets were leaking oil, thrust bearings were worn. Seemed to correct the leak problem, but still smelling some oil at 75k miles. Cost was close to 4k, mostly for labor, but extended warranty paid for all of it because dealer lowered his charges to match the insurance payment. A good deal for me! New note on 8/1/2018==> Oil smell mentioned before has disappeared. It must've been residual oil which is now evaporated. This car, despite all the negative comments on 2009 750s on the Internet, has been a great car for me. It burns no oil, and other than the oil seals that were replaced, has had essentially no maintenance other than oil changes. It's still a joy to drive this car. It's a highway cruising king!
