56000 mi US $100 I took it to get the fluids topped off and the mechanic at the dealer noticed 4 oil leaks. I took it to an independent shop and two gaskets had to be replaced. We picked up the X5 for a few days while waiting on parts, on the way home from work one day the car absolutely shut down and left my wife stranded on the side of the highway. Fuel pump had apparently failed!!! We picked up the X5 from the shop because we were told it was ready to go, we made it less than five miles and the A/C quit blowing, we turned around and took it back. They told us the alternator failed.

21700 mi   Water was pooling in the tail lights after the vehicle went through a power washer. Dealer replaced tail light assembly and associated seals. 
35340 C $96 Brake pad replacement light went on. Check revealed that the pads were fine but that the brake pad wear sensor was faulty. Wear sensor replaced during scheduled maintenance service. 
52940   Valve cover gasket leaking 
61380   Plastic piece off of the parking brake e-swith broke. Was replaced with a new switch. 
64660   Alternator was malfunctioning. This caused the battery to not charge, alternator was replaced.
