Chevrolet TrailBlazer in Pennsylvania, United States
Month Year Odometer
(in miles)
Cost Problem/Repair Description
Dec 2010 83000   First odometer entry
Feb 2011 85000 200 Stabilitrak light intermittently on. Dealer in VA said system needed to be "reprogrammed" but recurred months later. New dealer in PA said steering position sensor, but part was out of stock. Returned for replacement with no problems since. Had pads replaced 10k miles ago at dealer. Appx 1k miles on new pads and a metallic scraping sound was noticed. Dealer said they could not replicate. At 5k miles, again, could not replicate. 10k, once again, could not replicate.
Mar 2011 86000 60 Noise (metallic scraping) was found to be rust and brake dust buildup on rear caliper. This was determined after demanding a technician go for a drive with me so they could hear what I heard. No noise since.
Apr 2011 88000 2 Engine light intermittently on. Dealership could not find code. Purchased my own code scanner and found two codes pertaining to EGR and TPS (low voltage). Cleaned throttle body at home and cleared codes. Vehicle runs better than ever.
Aug 2011 93000 530 Transmission cooler lines replaced after noticing transmission fluid dripping from underside (no abnormal mechanical operation). All four lines were corroded; two failed. Replaced all four lines to ensure no future problems.
Apr 2012 103000 140 Front driver side hub bearing began "roaring." It became progressively worse, especially after driving through a rain storm.
Jun 2012 104000 130 Fuel level sensor causes gauge on cluster to read erratically -- known problem; have TSB from GM. Paid half of repair cost.
Mar 2013 113000   Most recent odometer entry.
