Water Pump went out on a trip with the family. Pulled into Chevy Dealership along the way. Repair was made that day. No cost to the customer since Warranty covered the repair.
Noticed sluggishness when car shifted to third gear. When car was placed in reverse it did not move backward smoothly. Dealership told me the whole transmission would need to be replaced- Wave Plate only was replaced instead.
The Transmission Control Module needs to be replaced.
Transmission froze-up and wouldn't shift gears automatically.
Two sensors were replaced. Fluid changed.
Rack and pinion damaged. Bushings damaged and motor mounts.
They have also noted a suspected transmission fluid leak and added dye to figure out where it is when I take it in for steering work. Transmission seal leaking. Replaced $8 gasket under warranty.
Jury still out on whether this is a problem. Car has been vibrating at certain RPM. Dealer says it's just fuel economy settings in transmission controls that are leaving the engine to chug instead of shifting down.
Problem seems new to us.
Transmission in reverse was apparently dumping metal into the transmission, causing other gears to slip or not engage at all. Had to use manual to override and skip 3rd gear on more than 1 occasion.
Transmission hesitating when shifting into this and fifth.
irregular shift patterns under little acceleration...feels like transmission wobbles at times
