35971 mi Valve cover gaskets were leaking
5450 mi While driving at 60 mph on the highway the engine shut down without warning. Failed to restart 20 times, then shut off Automatic Engine Start/Stop feature and it immediately was able to be restarted. Chrysler has no idea what has caused this issue on my Pacifica a(nd several other 2017 and 2018 units. It leaves no error codes in the computer so they can't diagnose it. They also have this same issue on some newer Wranglers that use the same engine. I don't drive mine that much and this issue has not happened on my Pacifica since the initial incident, but from what I've read on some of the forums, I should expect it to happen again. Hopefully next time, I will capture the incident on video if I can safely record it.
5000 mi Gas fill sensor caused intermittent block to gas fillup (gas pump would shut down)
27000 mi

52722 mi CEL and sputtering engine - cylinder misfire. Also coolant empty and car temperature high warning message. Head gasket failure allowed coolant into cylinder. Replaced right cylinder head gasket and associated seals and hardware.

4052 mi Gas station fillers sometimes would click off well before the tank was full, making it difficult to tell when I should actually stop refueling. Dealer was unable to duplicate the issue.
49000 mi

US $600
The engine started to misfire. This is plug-in hybrid and the true gas engine mileage is less than 20,000 (car at ~50,000). We were sure this should be covered under warranty (powertrain). Dealer replaced the spark-plugs and charges us for the repair since "this is wear item". Recommended spark plug replacement by the dealer is every 100,000 miles. We did not win the argument unfortunately. The car was fixed and running Ok since than.
67000 mi High voltage battery connection had become loose and car wouldn't go into drive.
73000 mi The onboard charging module failed and had to be replaced.

US $241
Transmission still shifted hard returned vehicle to dealer, mechanic discovered the third and final motor mount had failed, and replaced it. Gas Cap light was on, dealer replaced gas cap. After a day the gas cap light and check engine light came on. I did some research on line and ordered a purge solenoid and a vapor detector and replaced items myself and solved the problem.
78000 mi

US $720
Started to loose coolant, and smelled coolant but did not see it. Mechanic found a small crack in the radiator. Radiator was replaced, vehicle was traded in next day for a Mazda CX-9. Chrysler too many repairs, and expensive to own.

US $185
Right passenger motor mount broken
17000 mi ABS, ESP and skid lights came on starting out after a cold start; ABS caused the vehicle to grind to stop unexpectedly. Happend only after cold start. Shop diagnosed a broken motor mount - said starting caused the motor/tranny to lift. Doesn't compute!
73000 mi

US $466
Three broken motor mounts replaced, but now have loud noise and vibration. Mechanic thinks one of them may have been defective and is going to replace all three again.
74200 mi

US $264
All three motor mounts replaced for the second time. I am still having noise, vibration, and it doesn't see to downshift when it needs to. I will have to take to the dealership I guess... Motor mounts replaced for the third time and still the same issue. Finally discovered that the harmonics balancer was broken. 68200 mi Vehicle experienced stalling while driving. No CEL was triggered. Mechanic could not duplicate problem. Vehicle was subsequently taken on a 1000 mile trip with no issues. Temporary fuel starvation? No "repair" was done.
76600 mi This is the same random stall issue I had months ago. No repair was attempted, as no code was shown. Research on-line tells me it's most likely a computer command purging the EGR before engine is warm. Only a dealer can fix with a reflash.
82000 mi

US $120
I attempted to correct the stalling issue that I've had since first discovering it years ago. My local repair facility was able to do a reflash of the main computer. I suspected this was the cause through internet inquiries of Pacifica owners. Bottom line - no help. The issue remains. I know how to avoid the problem, but were this car sold to an unsuspecting buyer, it could be deadly. I hear the new Pacificas have a similar issue. Chrysler SHOULD issue a recall!!!!!!!!
