So far 28,000 KM in I have no issues, I have been rear ended once which developed no Major issues after the repair and these last couple days I plugged in at -40 Celc and the car drove fine. I did have to turn the heat a little higher to keep warm.

5 years/60000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus a 10 years/100000 miles power train warranty. Hopefully Hyundai makes a good enough product that I would not have to make use of this long warranty.

WELL MADE

At 120k miles it still drives like the day it was new! Performed only one repair except from scheduled maintenance. Rear drum brake calipers were leaking and replaced under warranty.
2004 2dr Hatch 104-horsepower 1.6L I4

the accent is an extremely reliable car starting in its 2nd generation and is very easy to work on.
2002 4dr Sedan 105-horsepower 1.6L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
This car just keeps going and going and going with so few repairs in between. I'm now in my 11th year of ownership with just under 125k miles. The most expensive repair for the car has been the scheduled maintenance.

5Star crash, 4Star rollover and a 10year 100k warrenty. Hyundai did wonders for KIA when they merged. The fit and finish have really come around in the past few years and greatly in the 2010 linups for both companies. Very responsive to customer needs.

The reviews I have read and the actual driving experience.

When we bought this car in 2010, we were aware of Kia's dim reputation in the 1990s and their better -- but still "cheap" -- reputation in the 2000s. But it seemed like Kia was advancing quickly. And so they have. In the five-plus years we've owned the car, it has been recalled four times. None of the recalls stranded us and one even was proactive (added rustproofing). The car has received routine maintenance. And that's been about it. It has been quite troublefree. And, so far, it doesn't look like we'll need to claim on the one remaining warranty -- the anti-corrosion warranty. It's only six years, but the car still looks good. All in all, we gambled on getting a bargain and we won. We definitely would consider another Kia for our next vehicle.
