Infiniti G Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic RWD
A downside if you are used to more fuel efficient cars--you pay for performance. NOte that I had a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser turbo convertilble (4 cyl.) before I bought the G. It got worse gas mileage.
2007 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
My average for the life of the car is 21MPG. Not too bad for a car with this power and my lead foot.
Infiniti G Real Gas Mileage: Cons

2013 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic RWD
Can live with it because of the performance, but wish the mileage was better and premium fuel was not required.
2010 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
To be honest, it is exactly what I expected, so no real beefs with it. That said, if you are looking for a car that gets better than 19 or so combined, this is not it. Decent freeway miles (24-27/g) but in city it is hard to beat 16/g.
2010 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Fuel economy is poor - about 19 MPG average.
2009 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic RWD
As noted before, the G will get about 18 around town in stop and go, about 27-28 on the highway.
2009 2dr Coupe 330-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic RWD
You do not buy a performance car and expect to get good gas mileage. At a 5 mpg or greater difference from my last car, it is taking some getting used too.
2009 2dr Coupe 330-horsepower 3.7L V6
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
average 18 in town 24 highway.
2009 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6

With such a large displaced engine and so much power you will find that you will have so-so mpg if you drive mainly in the city like I do. Especially if you are a "spirited" driver like I tend to be. I am averaging about 14-16mpg 95% city. On the highway its a different story. I have averaged up to 28mpg @ 78mph, I kind of wish I drove more on the highway.
2008 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
While not terrible, ~20mpg is by no means phenomenal. Relatively comparable cars get ~23-27mpg, but typically also have smaller engines which explains a good portion of the difference.
2008 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Takes a lot of fuel... 14L/100km about.
2008 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
Not too great. My average is 19 - 20 mpg, mostly city.
