The headlight needed replacing and could not simply be replaced with a replacement bulb as the original had melted and fused into the fittings.

We put $500 into brakes and new headlight. It still needed work to stop a smell of gasoline when the tank was full (another $500 repair) then it started making an ominous groaning noise. With 100K miles, it was just time to trade to something newer.

Repaired another headlight leveler. Takes all day, for a 20 cent piece of plastic. At dealer labor rates would cost $1,000. The Jag reputation needs to reflect this enormous cost for people to understand what the reliability actually is.

Soaked passenger footwell. Jag has a TSB for this issue, but parts no longer available since cars with the issue are off warranty. Had to fabricate water shield over cabin air filter, but real issue is warped cowl at base of windwhield.
