100000 545 The headlight needed replacing and could not simply be replaced with a replacement bulb as the original had melted and fused into the fittings.
100000 0 We put $500 into brakes and new headlight. It still needed work to stop a smell of gasoline when the tank was full (another $500 repair) then it started making an ominous groaning noise. With 100K miles, it was just time to trade to something newer.

141360 200 outer tie rod end replaced due to rattle noise.
143220 500 headlight bulbs.... catalytic converter heat shield rattle radiator fan control module kaput recirculation door (flap) not operating.. repair per TSB Vacuum hose/check valve replaced PCV hose cracked and replaced. self levelling headlight aiming system needed reset.
144460 1000 Combined repair of oil leak that required removing the transfer case, and oil pan. included oil chance of both.
161200 100 broken tabs inside headlight. self levelling headlight not working.
164920 800 Drive shaft centre bearing noisy - replace driveshaft - 800
166120 0 Broken headlight levelers again. Fail regularly. Working on a permanent fix. Dealer solution is new HID assembly, grand each. Failed part is 20 cent piece of plasitc. But replacing it requires removing bumper and taking permanently sealed headlight apart.
168640 409 New Brakes all around. To do the job right must disassemble all parts, clean and lubricate them. I've yet to find a shop that does a sufficiently thorough job. Coolant overflow bottle leaking, repaired, $5 parts. Broken front coil spring, $200 part.
169840 0 Repaired another headlight leveler. Takes all day, for a 20 cent piece of plastic. At dealer labor rates would cost $1,000. The Jag reputation needs to reflect this enormous cost for people to understand what the reliability actually is.
176080 60 Soaked passenger footwell. Jag has a TSB for this issue, but parts no longer available since cars with the issue are off warranty. Had to fabricate water shield over cabin air filter, but real issue is warped cowl at base of windwhield.

103000 20 Intake manifold tuning valve o-rings were old and flattened, causing a vacuum leak at the o-ring site. Self-diagnosis and repair. I replaced the o-rings myself.
110000 500 Left and right rear wheel speed sensors were corroded and broken. Threw a CEL, ABS, and DSC fault warnings as well. Ordered parts - will have the shop complete repairs later.
112700 0 Threw P0420 and P0333 CEL codes. The P0420 is for a catalytic converter, however on the Jaguar the issue is 95% of the time caused by the oxygen sensor, weird I know. P0333 is for a knock sensor. November: No other symptoms, not fixed yet.
126000 500 Coolant overflow bottle developed a crack. Had to replace it.
