Main bearings worn out and replaced TSB on check engine light on related to a minor leak in evap system; shop advised that dealer will need to clear the code from memory before leak can be fixed & car will pass NJ emissions testing in NOV
Thermostat failed, car overheated, pressure buildup blew out sensor. Thermostat & sensor replaced
Excessive oil consumption. Dealer said it was leaking valve cover gasket. Turns out that the PCV valve failed as well. Ordered PCV Valve. Took to friend who owns shop to replace PCV Valve
Valve cover gasket was leaking. Changed sparkplugs as well since Intake Manifold had to be removed.
Drain bolt seal was worn and was no longer effective. Replaced drain bolt.
Oil pan gasket was leaking again. (was fixed under warranty in Dec 07). Mazda said it's out of warranty now so they won't do anything. Bought redesigned oil pan and replaced instead of replacing old gasket that will die again in a year.
