2005 Mazda RX-8 4dr Coupe

Engine making a rattling sound when accelerating. Commonly known on the RX8 forums as "marbles in a can". Not diagnosed by dealership (unable to reproduce), however I've read this is detonation or knock. Noise is obvious, but dealer couldn't hear.
Water pump leak...replaced under warranty.
Sputtering at low RPM & rough idle. Ignition coils required replacement (coils are "weak" in this vehicle and fail prematurely). Coils purchased and replaced. Also replaced plugs & wires. Total cost for all parts roughly $350.
Corroded oil cooler line cracked and developed massive oil leak.
Poor engine response, especially at low rpm, followed by check engine light after a week or so.
There were 2 bulletins for weak engine, reflash and diagnostics. The diagnostics turned up shorted coil (so, driving with 1 rotor). Coil replaced on out of warranty assistance, labor paid by owner.
Fuel cap seal weak; engine light on, but car worked. After few days, car didn't start. Diagnostic showed P2070 and P0456. Replaced 2 intake manifold tuning valves. Replaced fuel cap on extended warranty.
Weak and slight knocking at mid revs under load. Stuck valve on secondary air intake freed up, engine decarbonized with Mazda kit, slightly corroded ignition wires replaced, coils replaced, air filter replaced.
