Harder seats than in the Murano, and now in a good way. The Murano has power lumbar support, letting you melt in the seat as much as you wish. Better lateral support in the Murano as well. see full Toyota RAV4 review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2010 Toyota RAV4

2010 Toyota RAV4 Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic AWD
The RAV4 has the best power/weight ratio in its class. Engine is smooth, with a wide power band. Ever feels wanting. Uses synthetic oil, so changes are at 10k mi intervals. see full Toyota RAV4 review
2011 4dr SUV 179-horsepower 2.5L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
The 4 cylinder performs well overall. I would have preferred a 5 or six speed transmission, seems like an extra gear would help with fuel economy and hill ascents. see full Toyota RAV4 review
2011 4dr SUV 179-horsepower 2.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
For a 4 cyl CUV, this car had a great amount of power. It's not a speed demon or anything, but compared to the rest of the segment (CR-V, Forester, ect) it was better to my wife and I. see full Toyota RAV4 review
2010 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic AWD
The 3.5 liter V6 provides impressive acceleration and the automatic transmission is very smooth. see full Toyota RAV4 review

V6 performance is better than any vehicle that I have owned. see full Toyota RAV4 review

2009 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic AWD
V6 Rav4 is fun to drive. Around town its very responsive in comparison to most Cute-Utes and passing power is impressive at highway speeds. Drivetrain is smooth, without searching for gears on hills like my friends' Escape V6, Pathfinder and turbo'd RDX. see full Toyota RAV4 review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Tires of the 2010 Toyota RAV4

2010 Toyota RAV4 Tires: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr SUV 179-horsepower 2.5L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
tire pressure sensor always on despite correct inflation see full Toyota RAV4 review
2009 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic AWD
Stock OEM tires by any auto manufacturers are strictly sourced based on price(Bridgestones Duelers come on most Rav4s). Therefore they are not the best in low-traction situations, as well as not having tremendous durability or longevity. Luckily my Toyota-Certified(ie used) Rav4 came with newer Michelin All-Season tires. I've never felt this AWD vehicle was struggling for grip in low-traction conditions. see full Toyota RAV4 review
