Problems with at least 1 of 3 sensors on wheels which cause car to turn off ABS system and impose a near halt on car acceleration from start on red lights when car is in Drive and held to,a stop by brakes. It would cost at least $4,000 to replace all sensors. Problem "solved" by shifting to Neutral during red lights and back into Drive on green lights. Fortunately I live in the country. Totally in shock that at just under 42k, needed rear rotors and pads? It seems rear pads are much thinner and wear faster as they are part of straight line braking, and are always active. Fortunately, I won a $500.00. volvo voucher which I applied. I guess this is the price of safety. I was given option to NOT replace rear rotors, but, in for a penny in for a pound. Seems rear pads are always being used. Rears were at 2mm, fronts at 10mm. Seems volvo should have used a thicker rear pad. |

OEM rotors and pads were at approximately 40% wear when removed but the passenger side rotor had significant pitting which likely caused the overheat/warped condition. |
