TPMS sensor gave warning of low pressure tires, even if they were not low. Apparently during last service software was upgraded, and in cold temperature it is necessary to over inflate the tires a few psi to cancel it (TSB).
car would not start in cold weather, even with AAA jumper cables.
Backup camera did not work. Dealer had to order new camera. Installation of new camera is scheduled for June 2.
Rear camera was not working. After replacing it, dealer found wiring harness had to be replaced. I had loaner that I was able to keep for the week it took for the wiring harness to be delivered.
Began noticing a mildew smell from A/C system upon start up of engine. Dealer flushed and cleaned system and reset computer code to make the blower work after engine shut off.
Mildew smell again in A/C syst. Dealer flushed syst and chckd to see if after blower was engaged. Dealer says after blower should work, but I still can't hear it engage. Said the smell will probably return when A/C is used again in summer.
Another visit for the awful smell in the AC system. They flushed system and told me to run AC on fresh air and not to use the recycled air as that causes moisture build up. Has been ok since but not repaired. Just masked the problem.
Strong odor from ac vents. Dealer deodorized and set afterblow fan to run longer.
Issue with the headrest entertainment system.
Issue with the remote keyless entry no longer working on driver's side.
Abnormal growling noise from A/C compressor at Cold and Hot start and when compressor is engaged. --No abnormal noise heard. Driver's side BLIS does not work or gives constant false alerts. Passenger side remains functional. --No stored codes and is working normal at this time. Road Test OK.

Color/Text wearing off of infotainment control knob. --Control panel replaced $1,500+ but under warranty! Driver's side BLIS still not functioning. CONSTANT false alerts. --Software upgrades installed Rubber smart key button on drivers door cracking and coming off. --Door handle painted and replaced.
A/C compressor growl.
--Replaced expansion valve and replaced Freon.
One Xenon light turned purple. I provided the Bulbs which were Osram CBI bulbs.
AC compressor, AC selenoid, AC controller, trouble shooting, leak check, freon refill, recheck, etc.
Side mirror on the drivers side need to be repaired as wires had corroded and the mirror would not longer heat up to remove frost etc
Blind spot notification on drivers side stopped working
Automatic day/night light sensor on dash needed replacement. Was causing dashboard lights to dim so much that the dash was not readable.
An indicator light showed that the battery was low. It was replaced under warranty. Routine maintenance also performed included oil and filter change, tire rotation.
This car has a blind spot intervention system which failed on the driver's side mirror. The camera and lens heater were replaced.
First scheduled service at 7,500 miles. A few small things were addressed; the BLIS camera had been malfunctioning, outside temperature reading was much higher than what the temp actually is. And the A/C system had an issue. Everything was resolved.
Left mirror not working in cold weather (below minus 8 degrees C). Mirror Replaced. The lock mecanism in the the left passenger door did not work, a message telling the door was open, but the door was closed and had to be locked manually. The remote control was not working. A contact was replaced.
ipod integration USB port was faulty and prevented ipod from being read by car's computer. Port replaced under warranty.
Nasty smell was being emitted by A/C system - not just a musty or mildew smell - it smelled very much like vomit! System was flushed and deodorized and the problem was resolved.
When A/C was on, fan would make a loud, moaning, whining kind of noise. Fan was replaced and problem stopped for about 2 months. New fan is making the same noise and another trip to the dealer is planned (Oct. 2012)
Sensor in fuel tank misreporting fuel amount. Dead on side of road with gauge reporting a quarter tank, didn't realize simply out of gas. Sensor was physically modified and remounted.
Car's power was completely out. No electrical system was working. Volvo Road Assist sent tow truck, they jumped and car started. They still took in to dealer who checked all out and replaced the battery.
cruise not working, radar alignment problem due to high pressure car washing
Cruise would cut out after about 90km and would not reset for another 40kms, became more frequent. Was told they were aware of problem on XC60 and was repaired by a download. Working good.
Fuel gauge sticks at 3/4 when filling tank, eventually goes to full. Gets stuck on consumption btwn 1/4 to 1/2 read out says 220km to empty. must remove exhaust, axles, differential, etc to repair, dealy can't be trusted with repairs
Alarm System Message needs maintenance - parts ordered.
Fuel gauge gets stuck shows over 1/4 tank, display says 140km to empty. Car runs out of gas. Has happened 3 times. To fix this they must remove rear axles, differential, cut exhaust in 3 places. Workmanship at dealer too poor to procede Alarm sensor changed. Dashboard and console damaged by mechanic. Needs to be returned for another repair but tired of poor service and lack of quality repairs. Dealing with owner and Volvo Canada. memory setting for passenger side mirror work 60% of the time. Cant find problem. Mirror gets stuck in tilt position after backing up 2 or 3 times per week. Dealer can't figure it out.
Light positioned beside the driver-side head light needed to be replaced.
SRS Airbag indicator came on. Seat weight sensor needed calibration. Problem resolved.

Replaced electronic key which resolved starting issue
CEM was not shutting off 20 minutes after car turned off. Caused battery to drain. Software update resolved issue.
Battery was draining. Replaced battery.
Fuel gauge intermittently reads incorrectly. At times will jump from 1/2 full to 1/4 to empty and back up to 1/4 full all within a single 20 minute trip. Seems to read accurately at initial start of engine. Problem code found, software reloaded, fixed.
Driver's side door would not open when unlocked, but would open when locked. Faulty left front door lock motor.
I'd been noticing some audio distortion. While in for a normal 15K service, I asked the tech to look at it. Front passenger speaker was replaced.
Battery failed to start after two nights in 20 degree temperatures. Current Battery warranty (NEW) is 4 yrs/50,000 miles. Even though the Safe and secure warranty said everything was covered for 5 yrs 60K miles. The Stealership says "NO"
Second time for this problem. Extremely gross smell coming from the ventilation when AC turned on. Mold and mildew smell. They sprayed the system again, the second time. Was told there is no known fix! Volvo is aware of problem. traded in.
Battery cable had to be replaced, corrosion build up and no longer carrying a good charge. We replaced the battery and cleaned the cable about 6-7 months before the cable had to be changed. I've never had this much buildup on a cable before.
Turn signal switches with trip computer
Battery appears to have shorted out, which in turn wiped out computer programing for radio, so that radio and associated service (bluetooth, etc) were inoperable. Car temporarily would not start. Later did start. Hard to trace to battery.

Blind Spot System wasn't working correctly.
Passenger side electric door lock button fell through panel into door frame. Apparently clip holding the switch to the door inside panel broke and had to be replaced
Fuel pick-up sensor for second time. First time in September. Gauge continued to read empty for 40 miles after filling up. Back in September it read 1/4 full when I ran out of gas. Radio/Satelite-problem with keypad locking up when phone attached through bluetooth. One day in shop, not resolved, was asked to return after they ordered part. Sold car back to the dealer at that time.
Battery drained after the car sat unused for 1 week. The problem was a known problem for this model reported in a TSB involving some component not turning off completely
Dead battery. Probably due to the car being on the dealer's lot for several weeks.
Navigation system froze and rebooted while driving. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and city safe all cancelled themselves on a trip. All were disabled "not available" until I turned off the car, locked, unlocked and restarted the car.
USB port in center console broke. Dealer kept the car one day for diagnosis of this absurdly simple problem. Dealer had to order part, so second day at the shop was required.
Battery dead, used Volvo On Call for jump start. Dealer replaced battery.
Battery failed/no start condition. No warning or hint of a problem. This is the second replacement battery in 118,000 miles. This Volvo-branded battery failed two months after the expiration of the new battery warranty.
electronic system intermittent faults
Power hatch would not open when external button was pushed, but internal button and fob worked. Diagnostics and factory consultation resulted in removal of passenger seat and carpet to fix broken connector to control unit. Go figure.
Audio system produced only buzz on all inputs, AM/FM/iPod/CD. Dealer diagnosed as a faulty amp module, ordered and replaced. Fixed
The "Auto" climate control button was not working to WARM the car. Unless the manual override was used the car interior was cold. No warm air was coming from particularly the main vents. An engine thermostat was not working correctly.
