Check engine light repaired with software update for fuel system error.
Check Engine light on for tenth time since April. Car had to be towed 5 times to the dealer's (check engine and oil indicators on). Power loss when driving at 60km/h, then check engine light goes on. Dealer does not recognize the problem.
Car brought in for routine oil change and few minor problems. I noticed it was not as peppy and pointed this out to my service advisor. They then diagnosed as a problem with turbocharger and replaced same plus catalytic converter.
Check engine light came on. After examination, it appears to be due to oil in turbocharger pan not drained when turbocharger replaced earlier in the month. Car was not peppy ... on examination by Volvo Turbocharger replaced and along with it catalytic converter.
After about two weeks CEL on again. Returned to dealer for repair-obviously a difficult problem to find the root cause. Dealer to involve Volvo technical support team... We shall see what happens this time around
Volvo technical support persons came to dealer. They claim to have fixed it and attributed the problem to a leak in a hose that was buried behind other components. I remain skeptical.
