Clutch needed replacement. The liner was low and the center fingers were also deformed. This is the first clutch replacement I had to do with the car (I have owned it since ~24k miles, now at ~72k).  Shifter coupling retention bracket broke after clutch replacement. There are two small plastic pieces which hold the cable in place at the shifter and one for the first three gears was broken and needed replacing - however they don't sell just that part.
