Changed spark plugs and PCV valve. Had to remove air intake system to gain access. Found cracked hoses and gaskets. Cop wires came apart during handling and intake gasket was perished. Two days after maintenance a split intake coupler was discovered. A 4 inch piece or rubber hose was letting air into throttle body. Nissan wanted 74 dollars for whole intake assy. Won't sell just the coupler for 12 bucks. Ordered online $22 |

Truck was losing power, visible exhaust, could not get engine over 2000 rpms in second gear going up a small hill. Dealer Service Department said it was an ignition coil that was bad and replaced for $500. Picked up the truck and it had the same issues before the repair. Took it back to the dealer and was told it was the catalytic converter and would be $2200 to repair. Opting to trade it in on a new Frontier instead of repairing. |
