Turns out the power steering fluid reservoir is made of plastic and connects to the top of the power steering pump on this model. Well, the plastic has a tendency to (expand, contract, break) leak at that connection. Additionally, the O-ring between the reservoir and the pump can disintegrate over time as well adding to the leak.
