Blower connector melted and it along with the blower transistor ( similar to resistor, but now a MOSFET transistor) replaced. There was much confusion over the resistor vs transistor issue, it seems like Kia switched from a resistor to a transistor for blower speed control mid- year in 2007. Wrong part (resistor) was sent twice before mechanic sorted this out and installed the transisitor |
