The oil return hoses are rubber and are external to the engine. These hoses are under high pressure. One hose burst and 5- qts of oil were expelled from the engine within 1 1/2miles. The car needed to be towed to the repair shop. I believe rubber hoses were installed on the RX from 2007 to at least 2011. Since then the hoses were steel, which eliminated the problem. |
