The Intermediate Shaft bearing failure is known to all Porsche owners for 996 and 997 models (1999 to 2008), not including the Turbo. Jack Daniels Porsche in Upper Saddle River, NJ graciously contacted Porsche and paid for 2/3's of the repair and provided a loaner car for the entire month the car was in the shop.
