Took Car in for Transmission Diagnostic due to stumble / rough shift in fourth 3rd/4th gear and sometimes in 2nd/3rd. Dealer had for 2 weeks and could not reproduce the problem. Mazda Totalcare warranty company claimed not enough evidence to even send tech out for test drive. I was faced about 4 hours of diagnostic tests at $130/hr or transmission tear down. Mazda seemed to think it was fine and believed it to be a throttle body cleaning issue so I opted to decline both of those options as it was a very expensive gamble and figured perhaps I was wrong, although my gut said that I was in fact right which was unfortunately confirmed on a recent vacation not long after these events. |
