Trunk would not open manually; would open with remote. Searched problem in BuickForum and posters recommended replacing the trunk lid switch which could short out from moisture. Ordered switch from Cultrag $26 then went to a body shop which removed old switch and replaced with new for $54. I did not want to do job myself since it required prying/popping insulation from trunk lid to access switch.

Passenger side headlamp has condensation and does not work. Went to dealer to get an assessment of whether it is repairable or needs replacement. The assessment was "yep, there's condensation in it. That'll be $65+tax please." They told me they could dry it out, "seal" it, and replace the headlight bulb and ballast for $800 but not warranty / guarantee that it would work, or replace the entire unit for more than $2000 + labour. I'm totally dumbfounded.
