Parking brake has never, as in never, been used because we park on flat surfaces. Its warning light occupied the dashboard, indicating need for service. The entire module and switch needed replacement and some unspecified wires required more than 3 hours of splicing and fixing. Labor was more than 950 dollars. I was charged more than 400 dollars for a part that cost less than 150 dollars from an OE GM website.
