The computer advances the hybrid battery age automatically. When it reaches 9 years, the car is programmed to no longer operate as a hybrid. Drivability and fuel mileage suffered greatly as a result. I loaded Forscan software on my laptop and bought a USB to OBD2 plug and used it to tell the car that the hybrid battery was 1 year old rather than 9. Restored the hybrid operation. There is a TSB on this issue and plenty of articles and videos online. |
