Car more/less fixed it self. Ignition issue on one back of cylinders. Dealer performed full check and cleared CEL. Engine sputtered and then quit. turned car off waited 5 minutes and restarted. Drove to dealer w no problem. |

Timing chains needed replaced at 60k miles due to stretching and also the hydraulic tensioners broke. Entire front of engine needs to come off and so does the top half in order to replace. This is a pretty common problem as the chains are not as durable as they should be. In addition to that, the hydraulic tensioners run on oil pressure, so if you are even a little bit low on oil, the tension can be lessened and then the timing chains will jump teeth causing out of time issue. |
