Replaced tires at independent shop which said it could not align right rear. Took Mercedes to dealer fr routine maintenance and asked them to check rear alignment. Spent about $700 to replace rear suspension parts and repair unsuccessful, car was still not aligned, though it ran fine. Dealer stated they would have to replace entire rear subframe (?) at cost of $3K. Car is safe, rear tire wear might be uneven, makes odd noise at times like snow tire. Unknown cause of problem, unsatisfied with resolution.
