2018 Kia Soul 4dr Hatch

turbocharged 201hp 1.6L I4 7-speed automated manual FWD

16201 mi Dash brake lamp lights, but handbrake is not engaged. Dealer visually checked other braking system components, all looks OK. I suspect it's a bad sensor (switch) in the handbrake. Dealer wants me to leave car for a day.

161-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

11325 mi master brake cylinder had internal leak, pedal would sink to floor with steady pressure applied. Dealer replaced master cylinder under warranty.

109-horsepower Electric 1-speed automatic FWD

24180 mi The brake system was making noise. I believe it was a valve that meters the brake pedal action between regenerative braking and friction braking. It needed a special tool from Korea which caused the delay in the repair.
