200-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD

204000 mi At some point, Jiffy Lube apparently replaced my OEM oil drain plug with one that didn't quite fit; this one has been over-tightened and is stripping out threads in oil pan drain collar, resulting in leaking. Whole oil pan assembly has to be replaced....thanks a lot, Jiffy Lube. Never going there again. Tire Rama ordered a replacement, but found out that the standard RSX oil pan does NOT fit the Type S, grrr — and to get a Type S replacement is **$500** just for the oil pan! let alone the labor of changing it!! So it’s not fixed yet. The next attempt will be to tap out the oil pan collar and put in a helicoil to make new threads.
204000 mi

US $200
Per the prior Jiffy Lube problem noted, Tire-rama was able to use something like a helicoil to replace the stripped oil-pan collar / plug. Hopefully we are OK now...sigh. I still have problems with windshield wipers whacking the edges of the pillars, don't know when/if I'll fix that.
